A personal injury lawsuit has been filed by a crew member from the former CBS television series “Vegas.” Berkowitz and Hanna LLC notes that the plaintiff is alleging that the set was dangerous and filled with defective equipment.
According to a recent article, crew member Andrea Krout is suing the drama’s crane manufacturer and distributor, Technovision and Crane Shot, after her thumb was crushed “and nearly torn off during a horrific crane accident last year while she worked as a dolly grip.” The television series and CBS are not named as defendants in the lawsuit.
Berkowitz and Hanna LLC notes that manufacturers of machines and devices owe people a duty of care. Construction accidents are often caused by negligence and are a basis for a personal injury claim. In this case, the plaintiff alleges that both companies are responsible for “the faulty equipment and putting her life at risk.” She is seeking damages for medical expenses and pain and suffering.
Note: Berkowitz and Hanna LLC did not represent any of the parties in this case.
