The legal experts at Berkowitz and Hanna LLC know from litigating medical malpractice lawsuits that doctor mistakes can take many forms, including misdiagnosing a disease or condition, not following up on test/lab results, and miscommunicating with patients and staff, among others.

Recently the Springfield News-Sun reported on a Clark County jury awarding $8.3 million in a medical malpractice suit. The plaintiff was the guardian of a woman who suffered brain damage apparently while under medical care at Springfield Regional Medical Center in September 2010. The lawsuit alleged the center’s medical officials failed to properly monitor and manage the woman’s blood sugar levels, which resulted in her permanent injury.

Berkowitz and Hanna LLC agrees that a failure to monitor patients may be a factor leading to a finding of negligence in a medical malpractice lawsuit.

Please note: Berkowitz and Hanna LLC did not represent any of the parties in this case.
