Jennifer Amdur has filed a lawsuit on behalf of the Estate of Alexander Diaz against an obstetrician, Jay Matut M.D., Greenwich Hospital, and Summit Health, formerly Westchester Medical Group. The lawsuit alleges that baby Alexander died from hemorrhagic hypovolemic shock induced by a subgaleal hematoma as a result of the defendant’s improper use of a vacuum on the infant plaintiff’s head.
