Andy is a leading trial attorney in Connecticut and represents adults and children in the areas of medical malpractice and personal injury who have sustained catastrophic injuries. With over 25 years of experience, Andy brings a unique perspective to the cases he handles for our clients since he was previously a partner for many years at a prestigious medical malpractice defense firm where he represented the interests of Connecticut health care providers. Andy has an active trial practice and has successfully resolved hundreds of cases at trial, arbitration, and mediation.

 

Since joining the firm in early 2023, Andy has quickly played an important role as lead counsel or co-counsel in the resolution of a number of significant medical malpractice and personal injury cases. Some of Andy’s representative awards include the following:

Andy is a member of the American Association of Justice, Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and Connecticut Bar Association. Andy graduated from Connecticut College with a B.A. in 1993 and obtained his J.D. at Hofstra University School of Law in 1996. While in law school, Andy was on the staff of the Hofstra Labor Law Journal and was the Notes and Comments Editor for the Environmental Law Digest. Andy is licensed to practice law in Connecticut, New York, and the United States District Court of Connecticut.

Since joining the firm in early 2023, Andy has quickly played an important role as lead counsel or co-counsel in the resolution of a number of significant medical malpractice and personal injury cases. Some of Andy’s representative awards include the following:

  • $6.25 million settlement in a medical malpractice action where the defendants failed to timely diagnose the patient’s lung cancer;
  • $2.9 million recovery in a wrongful death action where hospital doctors and nurses failed to properly monitor a patient who was provided opioids;
  • $1.6 million settlement in a wrongful death action against a physician who recommended and performed a surgery that was not indicated without first obtaining the patient’s informed consent;
  • $7.5 million total award in a motor vehicle/motorcycle accident which resulted in a client sustaining a catastrophic leg amputation;
  • $2.45 million award to a client who sustained severe permanent injuries in a defective premises case.
