National Board of Trial Advocacy Recertification for Russell J. Berkowitz

NBTA logoStamford, Connecticut – The National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) is pleased to announce that Russell J. Berkowitz of Berkowitz and Hanna LLC, has successfully achieved recertification as a Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury Trial Advocate.  Mr. Berkowitz has been a NBTA member in good standing for over 20 years.  The NBTA was formed out of a strong conviction that both the law profession and its clients would benefit from an organization designed specifically to create an objective set of standards illustrating an attorney’s experience and expertise in the practice of trial law.

The elaborate screening of credentials that all NBTA board certified attorneys must successfully complete includes: demonstration of substantial trial experience, submission of judicial and peer references to attest to their competency, attendance of continuing legal education courses and proof of good standing.

Board Certification is the highest, most stringent, and most reliable honor an attorney can achieve.  Board certifications are the only distinctions awarded by non-profit organizations.  The NBTA as well as all board certifying organizations are committed to safeguarding the public’s ability to choose a good attorney.

Russell Berkowitz is widely known as one of the leading medical malpractice and personal injury attorneys in Connecticut and regularly obtains substantial settlements and verdicts for seriously injured adults and children stemming from birth injuries, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, cancer misdiagnosis, wrongful death and other life altering injuries.

He has been voted as one of the Best Lawyers in America in the field of personal injury law by US News and World Reports, a Fellow in the Connecticut Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and a Fellow in the American Academy of Medical Malpractice Lawyers. In addition, Russ has been voted as a Super Lawyer by Connecticut Magazine and New England Super Lawyers Magazine in the field of medical malpractice every year since each list has been published.

Approximately three percent of American lawyers are board certified, and Mr. Berkowitz is a member of a very select group who has taken the time to prove competence in their specialty area and earn board certification.
