The Berkowitz and Hanna’s Charitable Fund has recently granted $10,000.00 to Friendship Circle of Fairfield County. The Friendship Circle was founded on the idea that within each person is a soul, regardless of any limitations that may surround. Therefore, their mission is to bridge the gap between special needs and typical youth through shared experience, and empower special needs youth with the skills they will need to live a productive and independent adult life.
During this stressful and difficult time, when special needs children and their families are even more isolated, this grant will provide immediate financial support and programs for approximately 100 mothers and their children in Fairfield County in order to help ease the overwhelming financial and emotional burden of caring for their special needs children, therapeutic efforts, educational requirements, medications and time demands.
