Russ Berkowitz and Kelly Ferraro have filed a Petition in the United States Court of Claims pursuant to the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program on behalf of a client who sustained a severe allergic reaction to a flu vaccine. As a result of his allergic reaction, our client developed a debilitating condition known as Guillain Barre Syndrome which attacked his peripheral nervous system and has left our client with facial paralysis, loss of feeling in his extremities and has significantly impaired his ability to perform daily activities.
The Vaccine Injury Compensation Program is a federal fund that provides financial compensation to individuals who are found to be injured by a VICP-covered vaccine. Started created in the 1980’s, the VCIP program takes vaccination claims out of the Court system in an effort to efficiently resolves matters on behalf of claimants who have been injured as a result of an allergic reaction to certain vaccines.
