Jen Amdur, Andy Wildstein, and Russ Berkowitz have been awarded a confidential medical malpractice settlement on behalf of a client who presented to the hospital with a stroke that wasn’t diagnosed for over 19 hours following his hospital admission. According to Amdur, “because of the hospital’s negligence, our client’s stroke progressed to Locked-In Syndrome, a rare condition which results in a patient’s complete paralysis, and inability to communicate verbally, except vertical eye movements and blinking. This is truly one of the worst and saddest injuries we have ever seen.”
