The Berkowitz and Hanna Charitable Fund is pleased to announce that it has recently granted $20,000.00 to Waterside school in Stamford for the purchasing of smart interactive flat panels for all the school’s grades which will enhance the classroom experience for all the students and teachers.
Waterside School is an amazing Stamford, Connecticut co-educational private elementary school with the goal of providing high-quality education to low-income students. When it first opened its doors in 2001, the Stamford, Connecticut independent school served 27 students. Waterside now serves over 150 students, operating primarily on charitable contributions as most families receive significant financial aid.
In addition to the above, the school has an impressive record of student accomplishment and achievement. It has graduated thirteen classes with its graduates having earned admission and full scholarships to – Berkeley Carroll School, Brunswick School, Sacred Heart Greenwich, Eagle Hill School, Fairfield Country Day School, Fairfield Prep, The Forman School, Greens Farms Academy, Greenwich Academy, Greenwich Catholic, Greenwich Country Day School, The Harvey School, Hotchkiss School and other leading independent schools.
93% of Waterside graduates are attending or have earned admission to selective colleges and universities such as: Columbia University, Duke University, George Washington University, Johns Hopkins University, Providence College, Syracuse University, University of Connecticut, Wheaton College, Bentley University, Fairfield University, Howard University and many other prestigious schools.
