Russ Berkowitz and Erik Siegel have brought a lawsuit against Danbury Hospital on behalf of a client who sustained catastrophic injuries following the hospital’s emergency department’s failure to timely diagnose and treat our client’s aortic dissection for over six hours despite him presenting to the ED with signs and symptoms of this life-threatening condition. Our client, who is married and has a son, ultimately underwent emergency surgery to repair his dissection. Unfortunately, as a result of the delayed diagnosis and surgery, he sustained a multitude of injuries including an anoxic brain injury, multi-organ failure, and was forced to undergo surgical amputation of his hands, legs, and penis as result of complications stemming from his organ failure. In addition, our client, a chef, will never be able to work again.
