Jennifer Amdur and Russ Berkowitz have just settled a medical malpractice wrongful death case against a hospital on behalf of the parents of a beautiful baby girl who died a day after her delivery as a result of the hospital’s negligence in improperly discharging her 35 week pregnant mom two days before, despite her appearing at the hospital with complaints of decreased fetal movement and subsequent non-reassuring fetal monitor tracings. When our client’s mom returned to the hospital the next day for a scheduled appointment, the hospital realized that the baby was in distress and an emergency c-section was performed. Unfortunately, in the interim, the baby had already sustained a massive brain injury and her organs were failing. She died the next day.
