Berkowitz and Hanna LLC handles many medical malpractice cases involving a variety of health issues. Because hospitals and doctors can (and often do) make mistakes, the best way to avoid a medical malpractice case is to stay healthy. A recent report, however, found that Hispanics in the United States had the lowest percentage of people with “high health status.”  Debido a que los hospitales y los médicos pueden (ya lo hacen seguido) cometer errores, la mejor manera de evitar un caso de negligencia médica es mantenerse saludable.

The United Health Foundation (UHF) report found that of all ethnicities in the U.S., Hispanics had the highest rates of binge drinking, low physical activity and obesity. In addition, the Hispanic community traditionally has “lower rates of seeking medical care compared to non-Hispanic whites, something attributed to cultural beliefs, socioeconomic status, language barriers, transportation barriers, and physician mistrust, among other things.” Berkowitz and Hanna LLC reported on that trend recently.

Berkowitz and Hanna LLC agrees with the UHF that improving Hispanic health is an achievable goal. As Russ Bennet, a spokesman for UHF said, “Obesity, physical inactivity and nutrition area … battles that can be won.” El Berkowitz Law Firm LLC está de acuerdo con elUHF (United Health Foundation) que mejorar la salud de los hispanos es una meta alcanzable.
