Emily Chumas

Emily practices in the areas of medical malpractice and personal injury. She is actively working on some of the firm’s most complicated medical malpractice cases, and is developing an expertise in nursing home malpractice and elder abuse cases. Emily has assisted our malpractice team in the resolution of a number of significant matters, including a $1.2 million settlement in a wrongful death action.

Prior to joining the firm, Emily worked for the Connecticut Judicial Branch as a legal research clerk for the judges of the Connecticut Superior Court. Emily’s experience also includes working as an Assistant General Counsel at a nationally recognized cancer hospital and academic medical center.

Emily received her bachelor’s degree with honors from New York University and received her JD from Quinnipiac University School of Law, summa cum laude, with a concentration in Health Law.

Emily is admitted to the Connecticut State Bar and the US Court of Federal Claims, and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.
