Lizzy’s prolific writing skills make her a valuable member of the firm’s medical malpractice team. As a strong advocate for our clients, Lizzy regularly performs research and writing in some of the firm’s most complicated and significant medical malpractice cases and has been a major contributor to some of the firm’s recent success, including:

  • $7.5 million settlement on behalf of a client who lost his leg in an automobile/motorcycle accident;
  • $3.6 million wrongful death settlement on behalf of the estate of a client who died as a result of a mental health facilities’ negligence;
  • $2.4 million settlement during trial on behalf of a client who sustained catastrophic injuries in a parking lot defect case;
  • $1.65 million settlement on behalf of a client who sustained undiagnosed sepsis which almost killed her;
  • Confidential wrongful death settlement on behalf of a client who sustained anaphylaxis which progressed to her death.

Prior to joining our firm, Lizzy has had a wide range of educational and work experiences. Following graduating cum laude from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science and International Affairs, Lizzy went on to receive her Masters of Science degree at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland where she studied Global Health and Public Policy. After obtaining her masters, Lizzy worked in clinical research for the Lymphoma Program at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. She then obtained her Juris Doctor from American University, Washington College of Law in Washington D.C. where she graduated cum laude in 2019.

While in law school, Lizzy spent two semesters with the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Vaccine Litigation, she served as a summer fellow at Yale Law School working for their Collaboration for Research Integrity and Transparency, and she interned with the Global Health Bureau at the U.S. Agency for International Development, Office of General Counsel. In addition, immediately prior to joining our firm, Lizzy completed a two-year research and writing clerkship with the State of Connecticut’s Judicial Branch where she performed legal research and drafted legal memoranda for Superior Court judges throughout the state.

Lizzy is dedicated to the cause of promoting access to healthcare for all people and is a strong patient advocate.  She has volunteered with the Doctors Without Borders Access to Medicines Campaign as well as the Health Global Access Project.  In addition, she spent five months volunteering in Uganda with a local grassroots organization called the Phoebe Education Fund for HIV/AIDS Orphans where she designed and implemented a public health program for a community of older women caring for children who were orphaned by HIV/AIDS.

Lizzy resides in Southbury, Connecticut, and she is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Women’s Caucus.
