Russ Berkowitz has just been awarded a wrongful death medical malpractice award on behalf of the estate of a client who died as a result of the negligence of a colorectal surgeon and hospitalist who failed to timely diagnose and treat our client’s post-surgical anastomotic leak that progressed untreated to irreversible septic shock and peritonitis.
According to Berkowitz, “It was very sad for our client’s family to learn that if the surgeon had come back to the hospital sooner after being apprised of our client’s deteriorating condition, he would have been alive today.”
