When a personal injury is suffered due to the careless actions of another party, law firms like Berkowitz and Hanna LLC can file lawsuits to recover damages relating to lost wages, medical bills and pain and suffering. Recently, a fan at a Rod Stewart concert suffered a personal injury that he claims was caused by Stewart’s negligence.
In the case, the plaintiff alleges that Rod Stewart kicked a soccer ball into the crowd at a concert in Las Vegas, striking the man’s face and breaking his nose. The injured man claims he suffered lasting physical and mental damage from the blow to his face and that he missed work and had to cut his family’s vacation short. He seeks damages in excess of $10,000.
The civil lawsuit also states that Stewart should have known he could hurt someone with a kicked ball because he had a reputation as a strong soccer player and had “significant experience” with the sport.
Berkowitz and Hanna LLC will be watching this high profile case to see whether the personal injury claim is upheld and, if so, what amount of monetary damages the plaintiff recovers.
Note: Berkowitz and Hanna LLC did not represent any of the parties in this case.
