Russ Berkowitz and Erik Siegel have filed a lawsuit against an orthopedic surgeon and Norwalk Hospital in Bridgeport Superior Court on behalf of a client who sustained permanent paralysis in his lower extremity as a result of an undiagnosed spinal epidural hematoma that developed following his back surgery. According to Berkowitz, “if our client’s spinal epidural hematoma had been timely diagnosed and treated by the defendants following his complaints of loss of feeling in his lower extremities after his surgery, he could have undergone a lumbar decompression procedure which would have prevented him from developing permanent paralysis.”
