Russ Berkowitz and Jennifer Amdur have recently settled a medical malpractice birth injury case against a Connecticut hospital and an OBGYN involving a baby who sustained an in utero stroke at or near the time of his birth as a result of the defendants failure to timely deliver our client by C-section during labor despite non-reassuring signs and symptoms for several hours prior to delivery. Our client was born not breathing and was ultimately diagnosed with cerebral palsy and other permanent neurological sequelae. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
