Berkowitz and Erik Siegel (pictured above) have settled a medical malpractice wrongful death case on behalf of the estate of a 54-year-old female client who was negligently discharged from a hospital emergency room after only 38 minutes, despite obvious signs and symptoms of a cardiac problem. Following her emergency room discharge, the client’s condition progressively deteriorated over the next 24 hours and she died. The amount of the settlement between the parties is confidential.
